wow, I used that same oil and water analogy in my sermon at church this past Sunday. What a coincidence. I wish my parents taped it but they forgot the camera I think it’s hard to be in a relationship with someone of another faith ESPECIALLY when you have kids. Then you have issues as to how you are going to raise them and with what beliefs.

I hear you Dee, personally I have seen cases where a believing spouse HAS influenced a non-believing counterpart, but not often. If a person is “really” living for the lord, I think it’s “extremely” important to be “equally” matched. I’m not saying you will agree on EVERYTHING, but there are just too many variables to be considered, in terms of how “what” you believe spiritually, can become a issue in a relationship (particularly a long term relationship such as marriage)…..

I really believe that if your “core” spiritual beliefs “are in sync” then that is definitely a step in the right direction. If they are not…I personally think that it will invite avoidable headaches into one’s life; and who needs to fight over God, particularly when there is other stuff to fight over, like drinking off the milk container

What about someone who is from the Church of God in Christ and someone who is Lutharn or Catholic is that being unequally yoke.Because if you believe in God you can not date or be around some for along time who does not believe. I am very passionate about what I believ in.
